The object is cylindrical with a bulge in the center, with a slightly extruding mouth and sculpted handles in the guise of flowers and leaves. The port of Genoa is depicted on the back as though on a nautical map. Two ships sail on the sea between a strip of built up land on the right and the Lantern lighthouse displaying the city flag on the left.
The warmer is cylindrical with a bulge in the center, with a slightly broadened mouth and sculpted handles in the guise of flowers and leaves. Above the round base is a large opening, bordered by cartouches, in which to place the oil container and stopper, intended to create a delicate light and a source of warmth to heat a drink in the overhead teapot, now lost. A section of a roof with a curved niche topped by a cross is painted above the opening. The port of Genoa is depicted on the back and there is a village scene above the handles.
