One year ago, at Palazzo Gavotti, a group of art and technology enthusiasts was pacifically “invading” the Pinacoteca Civica of Savona with the aim of providing a live coverage of their visit to the exhibition and a shared account of the works of art it hosts. A year later, the event is taking place again. However, this time the invaders will be targeting the new Museo della Ceramica!
Now in its third edition, Invasioni Digitali (literally “Digital Invasions”) is an initiative that attracts hundreds of “invaders” all over Italy, promoting shared knowledge, participation and new ways of enjoying culture. This is another step of the digital journey of the Museo della Ceramica, which only few weeks ago took part in the adventurous Museum Week and is at this very moment in the process of creating an high-resolution online image gallery of its artworks.
This year, Invasioni Digitali takes place on Saturday, May 2nd at 3 p.m.. On the occasion of this special event, the director of the museum Eliana Mattiauda will conduct a guided tour through the exhibition and the entrance will be free for all “invaders” who will be showing up with their smartphones and tablets, ready to shoot and share their enthusiasm online!
In the meantime, you can refresh your memory and read the journal of the invasion of the Pinacoteca Civica in 2014.
We are waiting for you, #svinvaders!
