In the heart of the historic city centre, the museum is housed in the ancient Palazzo del Monte di Pietà, commissioned by Pope Sixtus IV. A treasure chest of the past and laboratory for the future, it holds the history of Savona ceramics: a fascinating journey through eras and styles, from the Renaissance to the 20th century, from Futurism to contemporary art. More than a thousand works to testify to the deep bond of a tradition with its territory. The museum annually hosts temporary exhibitions dedicated to the most relevant figures and themes in the world of ceramics.
Thanks to the preciousness of its works and the history of the ancient building, the Museum of Ceramics stands as a choice of excellence for all those who want to discover a prestigious cultural heritage and enjoy it exclusively, thanks to the creation of customized private events.
In fact, the museum makes its spaces available, even outside opening hours, for guided tours, conventions and conferences, company meetings or presentations, screenings, team building and personalized workshops, with the possibility of continuing the event with an aperitif or a dinner in the museum restaurant, the Bino Restaurant, led by the expert hands of the starred chef Giuseppe Ricchebuono.
